Bring me to serenity, let me be peaceful
Bring me to a place that my mind can wander and my thoughts can fathom
Show me that the ocean so violent and unforgiving can still have moments of calm
Show me that my mind so dark and cloudy can still have flowers bloom, even in the harshest of conditions

This place is a shrine to the winds that hollow in the distance. This place brings peace to me, as it brought peace to the people of the past. Stopping for a minute you can hear the grass rustle with the wind. Reminiscent of a calm ocean tide that is making its rounds across the field. James H. Judy a twenty-one-year-old ancestor calls this place his home. Watching over these plains as the winter melts away.
Snow is still hiding in the shadows. But Spring is starting to lay claim to all the land in its sight. Life eager at the opportunity to spring up again, and is fearlessly fighting through the cold cold ground. The battle is so fierce the ground resembles a bloody battle field.
It’s a sight like no other to see a single piece of life fight through the odds, to meet the light. Through cold ground where so many others failed this one soul stands proud. This soul will soon take a place in its patch of sun as well. Strength and patience is key.
Thank you for walking with me through this little park in Colorado. I hope you enjoyed the views. It might be only a small glimpse of what Colorado is all about, but as we journey farther into this beautiful state you will get a fuller picture. Here’s to the first point in the road.
