Another trip to the island of Runde in Norway was unsuccessful - though perhaps not entirely.
This time I went to photograph the puffins feeding their chicks with small fish, but despite spending several dozen hours in really difficult conditions (gusts of wind, rain, and probably the most disturbing sharp sun) I did not achieve my goal.
While the wind or rain does not bother so much, the sharp sun causes the photos to be burned out and even the exposure correction to -2 EV did not help, and the problem is that the puffins feed their chicks during the day. From what I noticed, they stop feeding around 8 p.m. when the proper light for shooting begins.
An additional problem is a fact that such photos can only be taken within 5-6 weeks because this is the time it takes for the chicks to be fed. Unfortunately, my work and home duties do not allow me to sit on this island as often as I would like, so despite many attempts in the last 3 years, I did not take photos that I would be happy with.
However, from the last trip, I did not come back with anything, namely, when the sun was not strong enough and the birds, unfortunately, stopped coming back to their mink with fish for chicks, I focused on portraying them, and here are some of my latest works.

Kolejna wyprawa na wyspę Runde w Norwegii zakończyła się niepowodzeniem - choć może nie do końca.
Tym razem wybrałem się by uwiecznić na zdjęciach maskonury dokarmiającę pisklęta małymi rybkami jednak pomimo spędzenia kilkudziesięciu godzin w naprawdę ciężkich warunkach (porwisty wiatr, deszcz i chyba najbardziej przeszkadzające ostre słońce) nie osiągnąłem zamierzonego celu.
O ile wiatr czy deszcz jeszcze tak strasznie nie przeszkadza o tyle ostre słońce powoduje , że zdjęcia są przepalone i nawet korekcja ekspozycji na -2 EV nic nie pomagała, a problem polega na tym , że maskonury dokarmiają swoje pisklaki w ciągu dnia. Z tego co zauważyłem zaprzestają karmienia około godziny 20.00 wieczorem wtedy gdy zaczyna sie odpowiednie światło do fotografowania.
Dodatkowym problemem jest fakt, że takie zdjęcia można wykonać tylko w przeciągu 5-6 tygodni ponieważ tyle trwa okres karmienia piskląt. Niestety obowiązki służbowe i domowe nie pozwalają mi na przesiadywanie na tej wyspie , aż tak często jakbym chciał tak więc pomimo wielu prób w przeciągu ostatnich 3 lat nie zrobiłem zdjęć , z których byłbym zadowolony.
Jednak z ostatniej wyprawy nie wróciłem z niczym, a mianowicie gdy juz słońce nie było na tyle mocne , a ptaki niestety przestały wracać do swoich norek z rybkami dla piskląt to ja skupiłem się na ich portretowaniu i oto kilka moich najnowszych prac.
