I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay (sometimes via estate sales). There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here for posterity.
This set continues a batch of slides that I bought on eBay a while back. I don't have as much to go on as to the ultimate origin of these compared to the previous batch I was working on. They came to me from eBay and most likely were picked up at an estate sale by the seller. Most of them seem to be taken in the 1960s and same individuals are included in many of the photos. It looks like there are some that were taken in Miami and some that were taken in New Jersey and perhaps elsewhere. I get the impression that Miami was a vacation spot for this family.
The first three photos were all processed in May 1965 and all appear to feature a dinner. The first two feature a close-up of a table nicely prepared for the meal to come. The third does not appear to be from the same time period as at the very least the flowers are different colors. All the individuals featured in the third photo have shown up in previous photos. The couple on the right being the couple featured throughout most of them. The couple on the left may be one of their parents. Not sure about the middle couple.
The last photo is the most interesting because of the car. I'm not good enough with old cars to be able to identify the year, make and model of this one but it does look kind of unique. I don't recall ever seeing this one in the wild anyway. The license plate says Connecticut but the palm tree indicates this was probably taken in Florida given the other Florida pictures that have been scattered throughout this batch. It isn't dated but like all the others would have been taken in the mid to late 1960s.
