Great post on a subject that needs constant attention. Even as an armature photographer, it amazes me how many people convince themselves that if they just list the source, they can do whatever the heck they want. Glad you put it out there in BW, or awesome blue, actually ( :
I don't vote on people unless it is either original content, or listed as a real, legal source. And even then, I seldom vote, as I just much prefer original content on here. It is EASY. Your phone will take great photos, people.
I suppose one method is to try negative flagging, but that can get pretty nasty. Maybe some guidance, or light admonition would be better. Not too good at it, so I'll practice on my cat first.
Thanks for putting this out there. I need to go watch the video/read the post you put out.
Thanks! It really is not worth the risks. Someone will get sued sooner or later. It's not a matter of if, but of when. Steemit is beginning to get known, and known as a place for making money. It won't be long before some very high earning and powerful photographer finds his work on here, and what's more he's not being compensated! Taking an image for personal use is bad, taking it to post on a blog is worse, and taking it to post on a for-profit site where the poster stands to make money is far worse! The likelihood of being sued has gone way up because of what Steemit stands for! A court recently ruled that even anonymous posters are not exempt from copyright infringement lawsuits, and must be unveiled if they are doing something illegal!
