“What’s your 2018 resolution?” they asked. “resolutions are overrated” i answered.

Let’s be honest, there will always be variables in life that we don’t see them coming, goals are just to make yourself feel better, feel a bit more having control of life, pretending that there are things to work towards when in fact, there probably isn’t because you don’t even know what the fuck you’re doing, you’re just sitting there eating avocado on toast or whatever. But thats okay, you’re not alone, we’ve all been there, so let’s just talk about 2017.

I have to admit it’s an intense year of growth, started a new job with the fam 5851 miles away, spent 2 hours assembling a double-bed frame, had to get toilet paper in the middle of the night because i forgot to do my supermarket-run, not to mention that 3 weeks expired leftover pizza sitting in the fridge. You’re probably worse than me but trust me you’re doing good even if you’re feeling disoriented, powerless, depressed or nothing. Sometimes you just gotta give yourself some credit, yes you’ve made dumb choices, screwed countless relationships, you’re broke and pathetic, but hey don’t we already deserve a pat on the shoulder by having the courage to wake up every morning and live another day?

It’s been a crazy year, it’s a year where you notice common sense isn’t really that common after all. Nothing surprises you anymore when someone’s gets to live in the white house when he has zero expertise in it, or people shooting on the streets taking other people’s lives, like jesus, if i wanna die i’d do it my fucking self mate. The world has gone nuts, you’re probably are too but hang in there, focus on people who really matters, your family, your friends, maybe your neighbor who offered you a piece of mince tart on christmas day. Most importantly, spend some time with yourself, learn how to occasionally put yourself before others, your mom didn’t give birth to you so you could waste tears on some useless manipulative doesn’t-even-give-a-shit-about-you ex boy/girlfriend, you know what i’m saying?
