Boomslang is a venomous type of snake. Boomslang live throughout the southern Sahara desert region of Africa.

The boomslang name comes from an African word meaning "tree serpent". This one species belongs to the Colubridae family.

Boomslang snakes have the scientific name of Dispholidus typus.

Boomslang usually have a length of about 4 feet (1.2 meters). Their colors vary from green to black or red. The scales have dark edges. Boomslang
Has very large eyes and excellent eyesight.

Their large fangs are behind the mouth, but they can open their jaws wide. Terrible, boomslang snake poison can prevent the blood of its prey so as not to freeze. Therefore, bites from boomslang snakes can cause prey animals to bleed to death.

Boomslang usually feed on small vertebrates, such as chameleons, birds, and lizards.

This one snake lives mainly in the tree, but they will come down to the ground to eat. Boomslang are active during the day, but they rarely see because of their excellent color and pattern for camouflage.

If disturbed, boomslang snakes can bite humans. Fortunately, it rarely happens because snakes usually try.
