Part of the first railroad in Bulgaria, built at the end of the 19th century, this track connects two nearby cities at the east coast, roughly 25 kilometers apart. Used primarily to deliver salt for export, from the salt works to the sea port.
In Bulgaria, а train engineer is called "машинист" (a "machinist"). One of them has told me numerous stories from his decades long experience - varying from gruesome stories of tens of people who jumped intentionally in front of his train, to him receiving a medal for stopping the train just in time, because he spotted gypsies stealing the tracks for scrap metal, endangering the lives of hundreds of people on the train.
I'm on a quest to obtain the incredible Fujifilm 56mm f/1.2 and the excellent Fujifilm X-T2 camera. This is a duo made in heaven, especially for street photographers, such as myself.
