I'm back again today with... Well, you can probably already see. More sunset photos!
There were a few evenings this summer where Seoul has absolutely stunning sunsets. While I'm normally not an orange sunset person, these two nights were particularly beautiful. Although I do love orange, I often find that orange skies are rather common or 'mundane' when it comes to sunset photos. That is to say, they don't have the pizazz of a purple or red sunset.
Of course, they can still be stunning and I hope that some of these pictures are a testament to that fact. As I mentioned, these photos were taken on two separate nights in May this year.
The first image (alongside the last image) was taken from Namhansanseong, a fortress located atop a mountain on the east side of Seoul. This is the same mountain and almost the exact same location that I took these photos from.
I already called it the best view in Seoul on that post, and I will repeat it here. I believe that Namhansanseong has some of the most stunning views in all of Seoul... Scratch that, all of Korea!
This second image was taken along the banks of the Han River, the heart of Seoul. Although the sunset didn't quite line up with the ideal view, even these apartments were made somewhat interesting due to the breathtaking sunset that took place behind them.
As you can probably tell, I struggled to find the perfect editing style for these photos. I wasn't sure if it was better to go for the darker blacks (closer to the original images) in order to create a silhouette look, or whether it was better to go for a brighter look that brings the foreground into focus also.
Well, I decided to publish these photos anyway. I would be curious to hear what style you like best!
