Castle Ebernburg...
...is one of the best known castles in the north of Palatinate. Very picturesque she sits on a hillcorner near Bad Kreuznach in the middle of the very romantic region with castles, hills, forests, water and vineyards.
Inside you'll find a nice restaurant with a large terrace from where you can enjoy the view of this landscape. Castle Ebernburg also is a starting- or endpoint for some beautiful hikes and trails.
She was built in 1338 by the Duke of Sponsheim and has a very turbulent history, as one can imagine when looking at her walls and surroundings.
I don't want to bore you with too much history but Castle Ebernburg was destroyed and rebuilt multiple times and after WWII she was rebuilt to her now existing form.

I've taken these photos on April 18.th 2021. It was a cold and foggy day very much all day long. But perfect conditions to take Emi our dog for a little walk around Ebernburg Castle.
