I am glad to hear that photography is also your passion. There is always room for learning and I always watch and read tutorials whenever I come across them. As someone who was also reluctant to buy a DSLR for a long time, I can say to you that if photography is really your passion then take the plunge and buy a DSLR. Mobile photography has advanced by leaps and bounds but it is still lacking in the settings that you can do with a DSLR.
