RE: Bi-color Bolete

Hey thanks for the #fungifriday idea @ewkaw. Yeah...you can touch it, it won't do anything to you but just don't eat it. I've heard that it's bitter tasteing and it'll do wonders to your stomach like cramping and not so good feelings. So maybe in a pinch you can eat it but I wouldn't advise it. It does have a pretty peachy pink look to it though as you said. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I keep hearing that they actually can kill you. Or cause very very bad poisoning.
Best thing is to see if they do change the colour after you pick it. Or just gently touch the cut with a tongue... not sure what is supposed to happen after :P it if its something weird, better leave it.

Ya I agree with the leave it be. Everybody is different. What may be good for you may not work for someone else. Picture these as a bottle of medicine. Sometimes our bodies will react a certain way and suck up the nutrients and it's needing what the mushroom has to offer and sometimes it will not like what it offers and here comes the ambulance to take you to the hospital and fit you with a pine box. It's too late when you eat it. So if you have any doubts or bad vibes, leave it alone.

Very true! I love picking mushrooms, but if I am not sure I don't risk it. Better have one mushrooms less than troubles.
