RE: Another Invader

If a spider is not venomous, then it is actually helpful to have around. Spiders eat other insects and pests around your home like mosquitoes, aphids, mites, etc. I personally hate to deal with the spider webs that can pop up over night while we are sleeping. I had a huge spider by my back door once that scared the living daylights out of me. I took pictures and proceeded to research it and found that it was a common garden spider. I grow fresh herbs like basil, sage, oregano, thyme, spearmint, lemon balm, and also peppers. It was recommended that I let it live because of the other bugs that it caught and consumed in its web. I let it live for a while until it became too creepy.

Hard to tell which are venomous. I let the granddaddy long legs stay. I know they are harmless and keep
