A few of the many beaches to explore in Malta. (Part 1)

I'm just wrapping up a 3 month holiday of sorts in the gem of the Mediterranean and figured it would be a good opportunity to share on my first post. While there are other notable feats on the island, the beaches are quite fitting for such a hot summer.

The first beach I'd like to introduce is called 'Fomm ir-Riħ' in the local language, Maltese. This masterpiece of coastal erosion is quite a tough place to find and is even tougher to reach. Hiking down the cliff side seemed like a daunting task and the terrain did not ease up at any point but the further we went the better it got.

Unfortunately the first accessible spot was marred with rubbish, however that didn't stop the scuba diver equipped with a harpoon.

A stone's throw away you are met with a pebble beach, which is incredibly tempting since the sweat should be running down your back by now, but alas, it is marred by greyish water due to what I assume was clay from the slopes.

DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE!

As you continue your perilous journey through unsteady rocks the beauty of this sheltered beach slowly begins to mesmerise you...

and that's when it hits you...

you might have just stumbled upon the best scene of the next James Bond blockbuster.

After treating ourselves to some of the best that the Mediterranean has to offer we hiked along a short distance further but had to cut over journey short due to time restrictions..

Consider it an open-ended challenge to discover what lies ahead.
