Colorado calm before the storm drone pics - multiple.

in #photography6 years ago

Well, in typical Colorado fashion, we are at a beautiful 65 degrees and sunny today. Winter storm advisory, 3 inches of snow, and a high of 22 degrees predicted for tomorrow. What a shift! We are down below the frontrange so not near as much snow as they get in the mountains.

I decided to take advantage of the weather and get my woods time in with nature. Took a wonderful hike, and some drone shots along the way.

These were all taken near Franktown, CO.

Lower view of Pines and scrub oaks out in front of our cabin. Not much color, they changed almost overnight from last little snow we had.

More scrub oaks, they will be losing their leaves soon, but had a Lot of acorns this year that are attracting the deer and turkey.

This one taken the other direction, more northwest towards the frontrange. Zoom in and you can see the snow in the higher mountain peaks already.

I love this idea of writing about the weather and sights in your area so that we can learn about more places. Nice share! Thank you! I've learned from family and friends, too, that Colorado is really neat -- hot springs, sled dogs, elk, etc. I may like to visit there one day.

Just be careful when you visit, the sunshine and mountains can be addictive! Very hard to go back once you've been here! Finally moved up here for good 10 years ago and love it!

ya lo creo, que son adictivas

Oh, these shots are lovey. Thanks for taking me home to Colorado for a minute. 😊

Thank you. Canada's not that far off.... It's like North, North Colorado, right?
Be sure to check out the Colorado Foothills Drone video I did last month. That's one's more in the hills.

Lol. Yeah, North Colorado. Especially BC. 😎
