Lok Virsa Museum also known as Heritage Museum,Islamabad is the best place to visit. In this museum you can witness history and rich culture of Pakistan in a visual way. Every cultural evolution in a brief section showing the environment of that era and different little details are displayed here. They have tried to cover history from Ghandhara, Mehrgarh and Indus civilization. In this visual section you can see their dresses, Art, pottery and living environment etc.
In Lok Virsa Museum different sections showing different things are created. In cultural section every Province's culture in a detail way, how do its people live, their dress, their environment and their houses are displayed etc.
In Lok Virsa Museum they also have a dedicated section for local art and craft. In this section different art work has been displayed like truck art, Mud pottery, Jewelry making, shoe making, kashikari, wood work and bras work etc. In these section you witness how do artisan work, tools they use and how has this work evolved time to time.
In music section all musical instruments still used or being extinct are displayed. Tribute to some folk music legends in a visual way has been given. In this section you see some prominent music instrument artists and also singers.
They also have given tribute to Pakistan's famous puppet character Uncle sargam and other members of his team. Old traditional puppet show called putli tamasha setup is also displayed.
Overall very well maintained Museum where some section is dedicated for other countries like china and some central Asian Muslim countries.
