The foundation of this historic temple was laid by the king of Patnagarh , Shri Baijal Singh Dev in 1313 A.D.
Its height is 45 feet and its divided into two parts . The first part is the seat of lord Nrusinghanath , the 2nd one is the antechamber having 3 gates .
The history of this place is written in the book 'Nrusingha Charitra'.
