I watched your video as a smart phone photographer only LOL who just spent all of yesterday in consultation with my Japanese product photographer, trying to understand what she DOES so I can direct her better.

What I learn from your post, is that it's nearly always about US and rarely the equipment. Funnily enough your video could equally be about life coaching - choosing the right aperture for the desired result, changing focus and making sure that WE know exactly what we want. LOL.

I hope one day to learn about photography. The awful part of this smart phone era is that most people think they can, and the knowledge gap about images and photography actually grows bigger. I know enough to know it's not my forte. But choosing to learn the language of images and to engage great photographers as I need them in my business.

You have a nice camera presence - more eye contact please! :) Encouragement and good thoughts zooming your way from Northern Thailand. #SF4 on your radar?

This post might be helpful for many steemiens it seems. Many people find this issue once we checks the photos and get disheartened when we see that the photos have no desired sharpness.

I will try to follow the tips. And thank you for this post.

You're not the only one who was fighting with the unsharp photos for a long time. Beside of the wrong aperture, I would also include a weak light, wrong exposure time during shooting from the shaking hand instead of tripod and incorrect set-up of point of focus in our cameras. These are the most common issues when we are struggling with the unsharp photos.

Ah well. So much for being a smartphone photographer. Can't control much of the settings. Your vid made me miss using DSLR cameras. 😄

When I started with photography I also focused on the widest aperture possible as I heard as well that you just open your aperture, shoot and it's gonna work. Well, not that true so it's good that you point that out.

I also shooted with the kit lens for long time and after a while realized that I didn't like it. I bough 24-70 lens and just loved it. It's amazing to see the difference for yourself and get addicted to purchasing new and new lenses :)

Thank you for the video! Have a lovely day!
