In Mexico, we have many urban legends. MY favorite above all of them is "Casa de los Tubos," which translates to "The House of Pipes." I am going to use this legend to prove most urban legends are based on a true story.

Most urban legends are based on a true story
La Casa de los Tubos, is about a house constructed in the 1970s, in Monterrey, Mexico. The house was made for a girl that could not walk, and used a wheelchair to move around the house. The interesting design of the house made it easier for the girl to move around, because it was only pipes, and had no edges at all. (image in the next slide) Before the house was finished, the girl was playing around the house, when she fell of the highest floor, and killed her self. Her dad felt horrible when this happened, but he still wanted to finished the house. When three of the workers fell off the same floor, the father decided to stop working on the house, and he immediately abandoned it.
That was the real story that inspired the legend. The legend is that the girl is still wondering around the house at night, and that if you go there the girl will find you, and push you, just like she pushed the workers off the last floor.

My Experience
During break, I went to La Casa de los Tubos just to see if any of the story was true. When I got there, there was no police, so I left the car about half a mile away from the house, and got in without anybody noticing. I really did not see any ghosts or nothing weird. I still believe the legend is real.
