Part 1:
a ) Khottimari Range__ A Land of Scenic beauty and Earning of living#
Khottimari Forest,A very under rated place to visit because of lack of publicity.It has almost everything a nature lover and a photographer wants.It has a tremendous beauty filled with familiar and unfamiliar trees along with 4 to 5 Different Rivers like Amba,Hatinala,Ambala etc.
The rivers are filled with fishes and other aquatic animals keeping the ecosystem of the forest up.There are so many trees found only on the sides of the rivers.
The forest is a place to means of subsistence or earning of living for the dwellers.
Collecting Woods : The main source of living here is collecting woods from the forest and selling them.Men and Women are same eligible for this and there is no hesitation for anyone.After collecting woods they take those to home and cutting those they shaped them to make furnitures and which are not perfect for furniture are sold as a fuel.
Fishing : Here fishing is a very common livelihood as this area has plenty rivers full of fishes.Fishermen by collecting fishes either eat them or sell them in market.
Rest House Guard : There is a rest house in Khottimari forest.Here anyone can Stay but a Permission is needed.In this rest house the guards and services providers all are local and this there only livelihood.
So there are many things to know about Khottimari forest.There are many Birds,Butyerflies,Monkeys,Wood Spider and Snakes.Those will be discussed in next part of this Writing.
