Yesterday evening I set out with a plan of doing sunset shots. A storm had just passed, the sky was getting colorful with a few large clouds. I thought it would be great! Unfortunately by the time that I got to my destination the sky totally clouded over, so sunset photos where not in the cards.
Along my way home I figured why not do some street photos or light trails. I didn't have my tripod with me which made it tricky but who am I to turn down a challenge?
As I set the camera up on the ground in front of a puddle, a few people gathered at the bus stop. I have done light trails with people in the foreground before but never this many (having people hold pretty still for 10-30 seconds unaware of the photo is rare!). Almost immediately a bus drove by and I snapped this shot.
The detail is very impressive in my eyes! The trails look as if they are weaving between the people as they slightly moved. Even in the top right of the photo it looks as if the trail splits around the tree. In my 5/6 years of doing light trails this is a first!
After that one I continued down the street and captured a couple more. One in her and then one with a cyberpunk style to it.
After these shots I was actually pretty happy that the sunset didn't work out! What do you think?

I am amazed at the details that we can get at night with digital cameras. The technology keeps getting better. The image stabilization technology makes it possible to get decent photos late into the evening without a tripod.
I have picked your post for my daily hive voting initiative, Keep it up and Hive On!!
This is a rippa!!! Check that out, those solid light trails are something I have been trying to achieve for a while. Shows your extensive experience!
