Red Rock Ridge, south of the Antarctic Circle

Its a view that I was able to witness and photograph a few seasons ago. The story behind this trip is one of the best luck with weather and ice allowing us to get to this landing site and enjoy this view. To get here you have to cross the Antarctic Circle, which is all dependent on the ice conditions and we were lucky enough that we were able to push south without much ice around.

In the last 4 years I have been exploring this part of the world for 3-4 months at a time, this is one of two times I have landed at a site south of the Antarctic Circle, which I hope highlights just how rare and exciting standing there was for me. Well, here is to hope that not only will the season at the end of the year go ahead (COVID pending) but I will have the opportunity once again to set foot on land south of the Antarctic Circle.
