A Visit To The Medieval Seat Fortress Of Moldavia In Suceava, My Hometown In Romania (March 2021)

in #photography3 years ago (edited)

Yesterday I went to visit the late 14th century medieval Seat Fortress of Moldavia in my hometown Suceava located in the historical region of Bukovina in northeastern Romania. As I'm currently a first year bachelor student at USV (Universitatea Ștefan cel Mare din Suceava or Stephen the Great University of Suceava), the purpose of my visit here was to shoot a promotional short film with a very good groupmate of mine who is a professional photographer with several years of solid experience.

The purpose of the promotional short film is to promote the history of our hometown and the historical heritage of this medieval seat fortress which was fortunately renovated through a Regio EU-powered programme back in 2015 if I'm not mistaken (when I was just hitting the age of 18).

The promotional short film in question will serve as our product for the examination of a project which we need to hand in by the summer exam session at the Multimedia course of the second semester of the Digital Media study programme at USV.

Prior to taking a stroll inside the fortress, I had a great conversation with one of the bodyguards in charge of the access close to the wooden bridge leading to the entrance in the castle. We exchanged a few opinions on

My groupmate Alex was very kind to me and he even took several photographs of me separately, some of them at my request, as we were shooting through the various chambers of the inner courtyard inside the fortress. Hereby some of them:

I must admit I have gotten a little bit 'fluffy' (to say the least) in these COVID-19 pandemic times, but it is not my fault that we have a very tasty local cuisine in Bukovina (thank you, grandma!). P.S.: After we concluded the shooting session I was honoured with one of the best mulled wines locally by Alex as I was very cold inside and outside. He bought a hot cup for me from one of the nearby food and beverage vendors. That being said, thank you very much for the whole experience as it was wonderful indeed! We also agreed that we will meet again there for other shooting sessions and great times together. :)
