While many of us travel to these beautiful islands to enjoy all of the amazing amenities we are offered, sometimes, the local residents don't have it so easy.
On this particular island, houses are built to allow for additional expansion once the owner has enough funds. Loans are very expensive and difficult to obtain so everything is built slowly and only when more room is needed.
As difficult as this lifestyle may seem to some of us, the people I had the opportunity to meet were some of the nicest, most grateful people you would ever know.

I'm a college student. I was born into a poor family. Both my parents worked as farmers. While studying I work side by side to meet the needs of my life in the city. Now I focus on working side by side in steemit, I just play steemit about a month. I have never attracted SBD like my friends who have felt the reward of steemit.

This is life. Very often the beautiful, comfortable and cheap countries for tourism are not the same for people who live in such places. Hope the situation will change by the positive manner.
People are poverty are usually very sincere and real people. They have not been infiltrated with the "demons" that money and heavy internet usage can bring. I have seen Dominicans and Cubans who laugh dance and enjoy life sincerely even though their situation would not be ideal for people who grew up with money, good food and technology.
