Last weekend @lichtkunstfoto, @marlasinger666, @stepko, Hans and Dominic were out and about in the old malt factory. We entered the striking building with the four "Darren" that look like giant knight helmets. In the wind, they create a spooky sound in the dark rooms, like on a ghost ship.
Am letzten Wochenende waren @lichtkunstfoto, @marlasinger666, @stepko, Hans und Dominic in der alten Malzfabrik unterwegs. Wir betraten das markante Gebäude mit den vier „Darren“, die aussehen wie riesige Ritterhelme. Bei Wind erzeugen diese in den dunklen Räumen einen gruseligen Sound, wie auf einem Geisterschiff.
After operations were discontinued by the Schultheiss brewery in the mid-1990s, the buildings have been preserved in their original condition to this day. An Eldorado for us light painters! Unfortunately, the night is far too short for such an extensive area.
Nachdem der Betrieb durch die Schultheiss Brauerei seit Mitte der 1990er-Jahre eingestellt wurde, sind die Bauten bis heute weitgehend im Originalzustand erhalten. Ein Eldorado für uns Lightpainter! Die Nacht ist leider viel zu kurz für ein solch umfangreiches Areal.

WHAT IS LIGHT PAINTING?
Light painting is a unique form of art. The darkness is illuminate by the artist with diverse light sources and light traces are paint into the picture with various light tools. Various techniques are use, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during the exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. All the pictures were taken during one single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cutting and possibly adjusting the white balance, the pictures are not processed on the computer.
