Before - After #31

in #photomag5 years ago

Hi everyone! Today in the section "Before-After" we, friends, admire the evening Moscow from a height of 354 meters above ground level. Go!

We arrive at the place for half an hour before sunset, we pass the guard at the entrance and climb the high-speed elevator almost to the top. Three more floors and a small staircase, and we're on the roof. The sun is overcast, heavy wind and very cold. At this altitude, the sunset is delayed for a few minutes compared to zero, but today you still can not see anything. We pass through the site for the first time, shoot, understand that the tripod is useless and will need to raise the sensitivity. For ten minutes fingers freeze so, that already grapple move. Go warm up in the gift shop. From there, too, a good panoramic view, but, of course, can not be compared with the observation. But you can shoot a phone and then send pictures to friends. On the roof of the dead battery is off after a couple of minutes.

Thare are dolls, icons, even some souvenirs. Seller friendly offer of hot tea. Politely refuse, like warmed. Outside the window, the lights of highways and architectural lighting of buildings were lit. Time for round two. I go up to the platform, it seems the wind has become even stronger. I remove the lens hood so that the camera vibrates less from the incoming flow. Stabilizer works at the limit of possibilities, but still have to do five takes, instead of the usual two. Time to check the sharpness there, it's all then, in the heat. I pass the site in a circle, trying to build a composition so that the elements of the building do not fall into the frame. It seems that something turns out. Ten minutes and warm again.

This time the processing is very difficult. High sensitivity brought with it very noticeable noises that need to be removed as delicately as possible without losing detail, and, as a result, significantly narrowed the dynamic range. As a result, the footage is quite suitable for Instagram and blog, but not suitable for printing. As for the color processing, there is nothing fundamentally new. I just had to be pretty careful. So here's what happened. Let's go!
