Pano of the Day: Festive Moscow, part 2.

Hi everyone! Hello dears! On the calendar again Monday, and therefore it's time to enjoy the large-format pictures of the festive illumination in Moscow. Let's go!

This year, as I said, the decoration of the city set a new record for the level of impressions for residents and visitors of the city. And it's very cool, in my opinion. Our country is actually engaged in the development of tourism and this, along with other activities such as the World Cup and the winter Olympics 2014, already brings tangible profits, both financial and image. In addition to the main income from tourist services, such as hotel accommodation, shopping, excursions, entertainment, our country allows tourists to see a completely different picture, radically different from what western media draws. Foreigners do not see angry barbarians, but quite friendly and modern people who are always ready to help in case of any difficulties. And this fact has not only a momentary, but also a long-term effect. The fact that all tourists sooner or later will return home, tell friends and family about the friendly and open country in which they visited and, moreover, will be able to adequately respond to any Internet trolls on the grounds that they themselves have witnessed certain events. In general, I can only support the initiative to develop tourism. And the decoration of the city is a very correct part of this strategy.

Remember how ten years ago friends and acquaintances boasted of Christmas spent in Europe? Talked about the incredibly beautiful illuminations, the trees, the Nativity scenes? I also had a chance to visit some European cities during the festive period and I can say that it's really impressive. But for several years I find myself thinking that Moscow is not only not inferior to European capitals, but also superior to them. Even on ordinary days, the light design of Tverskaya, Manezhnaya square, Theater passage, Red square and other places is very harmonious from a visual point of view. Five years ago, the Italians were still considered to be unsurpassed specialists in the evening illumination of buildings, and today our engineers and designers are able to decorate the night city as well as to emphasize the architectural features of any capital buildings.

During the holidays, everything looks even more impressive and I really like that the illumination is not an end in itself, but part of the overall atmosphere, along with entertainment: slides, carousels, dances and other things. By the way, all this attracts not only tourists, but also residents of the city: on weekends on Revolution square just not crowded! In general - good fellows!
