#725 - Ilocos Church shots for Saturday.
Happy Saturday evening dear Hivers. Just another day and tomorrow night is going to be Christmas already here and majority of the people in the country are going to celebrate it. We will also visit my parents who are currently staying at my uncle's house who is a brother of my father. They are going to stay there until first week of January. I have a shift though tomorrow night so we need to be back before it ten in the evening. Also early today my wife and I finally able to go out early for a walk. We went to the university near us and we covered almost eight kilometers then we went to the market to buy some rice cakes.
For our daily shots we have here scenes at the entrance of the Paoay church. We went here as a stop over point after we visited the windmills of Bangui. We arrived here almost before noon time while the sun is so hot and humid. Though the weather is hot we enjoyed the surroundings even without any umbrellas. I was also the one taking photos of the group so most of the shots don't include me.😅 There are also other groups of crowd that stopped by at this church to visit it.
The church is made of mud bricks and was built during the Spanish era which is a long time already, centuries to be exact. The inside of the church also got a great renovation and the local government is also trying to fortifying the building to make it more ready for any earthquakes which has been striking this region recently.
Here's the lawn area outside the church, particularly the front. It has a nice area covered with bougainvilleas bearing different colors of flowers. There's also several buildings built in modern designs and in those buildings there are stores you can buy refreshments or souvenirs and even dine in for lunch.
