#776 - Cordillera shots for Saturday.

Greetings this Saturday evening dearest Hiveans. It's warm as usual because of the summer weather the whole country is experiencing. So it's better to just stay at home and go out late in the afternoon if there are some errands. I had a shift earlier and logged off at three in the afternoon then I accompanied my mother-in-law to a relative in a neighboring city because she has to get something from them. There's heavy traffic on the road since it's weekend and also a lot of road repairs which added constraints. The repairs will last until the early morning of Thursday next week because there's two holidays that will last till Wednesday.

For today's shots we have scenes here during our travel going to Sagada where we spent one night and one of our goals was to visit the biggest waterfalls they have in this place. So during the travel we stopped by the second highest point in the country which is located along Halsema road and is found in the town of Atok Benguet. There is a farm on top of the mountain that is right next to the viewing area where we stood. Most of the farms here plants cabbages, carrots potatoes and many more that are conducive to the cold temperature.

There are plenty of pine trees here in this area on the mountains. There are also rice terraces if you zoom in to the right side but not as big as those found in Batad.

The temperature was cold when we stopped to stretch and also take a leak here in the viewing area. Plus also appreciate the view which is only once in a while chance. Beyond me is a portion of the Cordillera mountain ranges covering many provinces here in the northern part of the country.

After spending the night in Sagada, we woke up early before five in the morning to visit the viewing area to experience the best sunrise in this remote small town. We were lost when somehow but eventually got to the right place after using google maps and searches. We got here early while the sun was not up yet so we got us some cups of coffee while waiting.

Then the sun came up eventually after some time. Our coffee was already cold but then the view of sunrise has welcome us from up the mountains where the temperature was cold. The wife pose on to the sharp rocks while the sun is out and there's still presence of large area of fog hugging the lower parts of the mountains beneath us. There's also a large portion of lower part of the mountain that was developed as rice terraces.

Here's me standing in the rocks with the sunrise and the clouds and fog in front of us. The mountains also made the view more visually stunning and memorable. Including the cold breeze that everyone experience.

On our way back to the metropolitan we made a stop at a gasoline station where we can take a leak and also stretch. I saw some veggies for sale and I bought some cauliflowers that is cheaper compared to the price in the city. Then I also had to pose with this large statue depicting an Igorot man carrying a deer over his shoulders and accompanied by his hunting dog.

Then before leaving the Benguet province we also made a stopover at the provincial arc. This road is actually an alternative route going to Baguio but is currently close because or road repairs and improvements. I asked them to go to the middle of the road since there's not much vehicles activity going on and asked them to jump so I could take their photos but they were all jumping not in sync 😅.
