#780 - Ambuklao Dam shots for Sunday.

Happy Sabbath evening dearest Hiveans. Early today my wife and I went to the university near our place to have some walking exercises. When we arrived it's already bright as day even though it's just before six in the morning. We started with low paced walking at first then after kilometer we started brisk walking and then jog afterwards. I finished atleast eight kilometers while the wife did six and just waited for me. Then we went to ate breakfast where there are ambulant vendors selling cheap fried foods. We ordered letchon kawali or fried pork belly, fried pork chop and tortang talong or fried eggplant with egg. It cost only around $4 for three meals with rice each. We were so full then we went to the market to buy a tray of eggs which will be part of our breakfasts in the coming days. Then we went home and picked up our mother in law because she needs to buy a bedroom foam for her sister so we went to a foam store called Uratex and she bought a queen size foam and four pillows. Tomorrow morning we will accompany her to bring the items to their hometown which is about two hours away from where we are.

Now for our daily shot feature let me share photos taken when we went to this dam which is outside the city of pines and need to drive there for almost two hours. My wife and I woke up early at five so we can skip the rush hour in Baguio. When we arrived there's only me and the wife as visitors because it's too early also.

Me and the wife posing and beneath us are galleries where the water are spilled going to the small river below which stretched all the way following the river terrain which also connect to the Cagayan river system if not mistaken.

According to the security guards, we just missed them opening the flood gates and dumping a significant amount of water going to the river area. So that's why the color of the river earlier below was like not clear at all but muddy.

The air here is next to nothing particularly the air of the entire Sierra Madre area. The trees and mountains that can be observed alongside with the clouds are truly remarkable.

Then I also asked the wife to sit on the stone paved as walling of dam area wherein some of the boats are seen. The water area is huge but doesn't look big in the photos. When we were there the massive area filled with water is big and we can't even see the full extension because there's this mountain in front covering the other area of the dam. The weather was also cloudy that day so we didn't experience too much heat but cold temperature instead. I wonder if it's still cold here during the midday times.

Here's a shot of the galleries still flowing with small amount of water. We stopped by somewhere on the road going to the dam it self so we can take this shot. On top of that structure is where we have been posing at earlier.

A view of the dam water with some of the perennial weeds that have been growing abundantly on the shore side. Some of the wild plants are commonly seen everywhere wherein some are bearing lots of yellow flowers.

Don't mind me just sitting there observing the nice view in from of us. We spent some time here but didn't exceeded an hour.

Here's me once again with a big grin on my face. Thanks to the wife for taking the photo with her phone raised up high so the view below can be captured too. The smoke not far comes from one of the houses in the village which we passed by going to the dam, it's a small community of the people who are working and maintaining the dam.

We also stopped by the sign that's erected on the side of the mountain which says the direction going to the dam and going to the city of pines. The dam is roughly two kilometers away from where this sign is. Plenty of live tilapia fish are also sold by stores along the road.
