The five witches gathered in the center of the cemetery, garbed in long black cloaks for obscurity. The sky was grey, the light even, the wind cool. Leaves rustled on the ground and crunched under their footsteps.
The five witches stopped and formed a circle around an enclosed area where no tombstone stood, but instead a fence. A fence that trapped the spirit of one of their fallen from the coven.
They five witches held out their hands to the side but did not touch each other's hands. They closed their eyes and slowly lifted their arms higher and chanted.
We of the Freedom Coven
Call to free our fallen
From the clamps of the dreary living
Who disrespected our comrade's wishes.
A cage has trapped her soul,
So we are here to undo her bonds.
As we lift this fence with hands,
So shall the energy unbind.
The five witches bent down and grabbed the cold metal fence, pulling its pickets out of the ground. They tossed it aside and waved their arms to move the energy of magic that stood before them. The energy cage dissipated as the wind blew through, a whirlwind of leaves lifted from the center of the plot and rose high up into the sky.
Their work done, the five witches thanked the element of Air, bowed in reverence, and left the cemetery.
