I would like to inform every Filipino who works / lives in Doha that there will be a special event happening on February 21, 2019 7pm (GMT+8) as our Philippine men's basketball team GILAS PILIPINAS fight for a final slot for the 2019 FIBA World Cup of Basketball. The basketball game between Gilas Pilipinas and Qatar will be held in Al Gharafa Sports Club Multi-purpose Hall in Doha.
Team Gilas Pilipinas needs the win so bad versus Qatar (Feb 21) and Kazakhstan (Feb 24) to qualify for the most prestigious World Cup of Basketball that will be held in China this year. The Pinoy community in Doha is on hype to make the Doha court their homecourt but here's what we can do to show our support to our countrymen...
Setting aside basketball, not all people who goes are sports enthusiasts so this also means a special gathering of the community for many participants. Some plans to have after parties, some conducts games/gimmicks during the game, and more fun stuff to make the day so memorable!
