Great post! I've often visited and printed objects offered by Thingiverse! However, I haven't used my 3D printer for about six months. In the object you printed, I see a small futuristic skyscraper rather than a Christmas tree! I still find the use of 3D printing to create artistic objects of this kind very interesting. The idea of printing a more transparent version and inserting a small light inside could make the result even more unique and lead to the creation of a designer lamp.
