What if the majority here was less greedy instead of take take take?
What if there were no silly quality gate keepers?
What if our biggest whale actually cared for the worth of his stake?
What if we all tried to bring 1 or 2 friends here? Instead most try to keep it a secret, lol.
What if we just burnt the fucking dhf, after all the fucking failed proposals?
What if we let the markets decide if hdb should be stable or not?
What if we didnt care about "marketing" hive with silly email campaigns, cars, posh whatever. Just let nature take it's course and decide. Clearly everything we try to "force" is failing.
What if the regular extractors (whether witnesses or authors) that dump dump dump were punished by being casted to simple forgetfulness?
What if "quality" is overestimated? Has ever a 1000+ word hive post ever gone viral?
What if vote circle jerking isn't by itself such a big sin? Don't people in the real world give unfair advantages to people of the same cast/group? Don't you give a handjob to your best friend in real life?
Just some random thoughts.
For years hive does the exact opposite and clearly it's working ! And pretty much all decisions are even at current prices decided by one person.
What if the downvoters stop their operations that keeps people away from the platform?
What if people begins to buy more hive to stake rather than just re-staking only the ones the earned as rewards?
What if hbd is also tradable on centralize exchanges?
What if one can move HDB to private wallets like trust wallet to custody them while earning yield ?
With all the over excessive printing , mostly due to dhf the past years, buying hive is just idiotic since you would need millions of USD to make a meaningful impact to the economics of hive.
I get it 🤔
Exchanges do not like stablecoins.
Doesn't MAGI already do that? https://altera.magi.eco/
Yet we have lots of stable coins on exchanges and more still coming.
Algorithmic stablecoin? I don't know about that, with the new global regulations, exchanges aren't going to list algorithmic stablecoins so easily.
At this point I just think that greed is human nature and we can't do anything about that.
Greed is indeed a part of human nature yet many thriving communities and nations despite of it. And cryptos :)
With you on the burning of the dhf, suggested it a couple of times!
We should had done it from day 1. Our price would have been much better and we would have lost much less people.
Absolutely!
If you do nothing at all, the price would still be the same as Steem - they do nothing and have the same price.
Many of the things cited there are peoole doing that but it isn’t enough. In addition to that hive great challenging isn’t onboarding but retention.. once we get retention at least above 50% for sure onboarding rates will start to grow! Since a you have a happy beginner he will call friends… you can see that happening in communities that have a high rate of curation by big accounts like appreciator! 😂
And that can't be with the growing influence of downvoters
We are in the same exact boat we were in on Steemit. It’s just different people lining their pockets on this hardfork. That’s why they wanted it, to financially benefit from it. They only care of themselves. I’ve been on Steemit/Hive for over a decade now. I’ve never once got a whale vote on any post I’ve ever done. I’ve had numerous amount of posts with over 600 plus words, I spent over an hour per day in the past writing posts. For what?????
I wrote multiple posts about that issue. Every serious investor before investing in Hive checks the token issuance rate and is not amused by the idea of 20 or so million dollars sitting and waiting for someone to convert it to Hive (buying Hive on the internal market would at least bring Hive price up a bit)
