Today I am going to take you on a trip to a very serene beach in the state of Sucre in Venezuela: Quetepe beach, which owes its name to the village that arose in its proximity. This beach is sheltered from the open waters of the sea by the mountain range that creates the gulf of Cariaco in whose area there are many beautiful beaches and picturesque villages with beautiful landscapes.
Hoy voy a llevarlos a un paseo por una serenísima playa del Estado Sucre en Venezuela: la playa de Quetepe que debe su nombra al poblado que surgió en sus cercanías. Esta playa está resguardada de las aguas abiertas del mar por la cadena montañosa que crea el golfo de Cariaco en cuya área se encuentran muchas hermosas playas y pueblos pintorescos con preciosos paisajes.
Beyond the privilege of belonging to the Gulf of Cariaco, an ecosystem that is still undergoing many scientific studies and the aura of mystery that the gulf emits and that has produced a rich construction of myths and legends, on the beaches of Quetepe we find an additional charm: the existence of plants that have developed a way of living in an unstable soil with high levels of salinity. I think they are the main protagonists of this post. They fill the beach of Quetepe with a very special air and shade.
Más allá del privilegio de pertenecer al golfo de cariaco, un ecosistema del cual aún se hacen muchos estudios científicos y del aura de misterio el golfo emite y que ha producido una rica construcción de mitos y leyendas, en las playas de Quetepe encontramos un encanto adicional: la existencia de una plantas que han desarrollado una forma de vivir en un suelo inestable con altor niveles de salinidad. Creo que ellas son las principales protagonistas de este post. Llenan la playa de Quetepe de un aire, y una sombra, muy especial.
Quetepe beach does not currently have modern tourist services, but this is more than compensated for by the friendliness of the locals. On the beach you will find people who for a very small amount of money will offer you a place. There are places that are more exposed to the view and places that are more intimate. In all of them we can let ourselves be filled with serenity contemplating the gulf of Cariaco.
Most people who come to Quetepe beach choose a place where they can cook with firewood and enjoy a long time with their family or in groups of friends. There is a gentle breeze, birdsong, crystal clear water....
It is the perfect setting to indulge in the luxury of reading to the sound of the sea and playing a game of cards in the open air.
La mayoría de la gente que viene a la playa Quetepe escoge un lugar donde pueda cocinar con leña y disfrutar de un largo rato en familia o en grupos de amistad. Hay una brisa suave, cantos de pájaros, un agua cristalina...
Es el escenario perfecto para darse el gran lujo de leer oyendo el rumor del mar y de jugar una partida de cartas al aire libre.
A very pleasant thing about this beach is the possibility to enjoy the tranquillity of the people. It is necessary to walk many metres inland for the beach to become deep, so there are no worries about the safety of the children, who contribute with their childish expressions to a pleasant holiday atmosphere.
Una cosa muy grata de esta playa es la posibilidad de disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la gente. es necesario caminar muchos metros playa adentro para que la playa adquiera profundidad, por lo que no hay sobresaltos con respecto a la seguridad de los niños, quienes aportan con sus expresiones infantiles un agradable clima de día de fiesta.
When we pick up our belongings to leave Quetepe beach we make a promise to return as soon as possible.
That promise remains floating in its beautiful habitat.

Gracias, @sofathana. Tenía muchas ganas de ir a la playa de quetepe que está a unos 25 minutos de la capital de Sucre. Realmente la playa está preciosa, con poca gente por las causas de pandemia, pero pudimos disfrutarla mucho.
