A cold beautiful windy day in the Himalayan wonderland in search of peace.
Hello Everyone,
Been a long while since I haven’t posted anything on hive so here I am after visiting Himalayas after near about three months and not even quite of things have but the thing that changed were the colours, the colours of season and at the time when I left this place it was the late autumn season and the time now when I came back to Himalayan in search of peace it was early spring season.
It was a quite cold and windy day even being the winters getting passed by. I along with my brother @parvkhuller and my cousin @sohamghai decided to go for a hike.
We finally decided to visit Bijli Mahadev Temple which is a Holy temple in Kullu valley and situated at an altitude of 8000ft above the sea level.
It was around 11 A.M in the morning when we started our drive form Manali Himachal Pradesh to Kullu form where we would catch up the road which would lead us to the point from where we would we would start out Hike towards the wonderland of Kullu Valley.
The drive towards Bijli Mahadev road was just so magical with the best views of the Kullu town as the place from where we would start our Hike was right at the top of the valley.
We finally reached at the point form where we would start our hike at around 2:30PM in the afternoon after driving from more than two and a half hours. We parked our car and started our journey towards the mysterious wonderland.
Form this place we started our Hike and the beginning portion of the trail was formed up of few stairs as there were few homes at this place form where were started our hike.
A glimpse of the stairs which let to the trail of Bijli Mahadev.
At the few pints of the trail the stairs seemed to be broken maybe because of the harsh cold weather in the winter and heavy snow covering up this wonder land in its blanket.
After hiking for an hour or two we finally reached at our destination and the view form the top was something like this.
Just look at the weather guys, at it was late afternoon an the winds blowing through the mountains were literally felt to us.
After walking through the beautiful meadows of Bijli Mahadev we reached at the gate of Bijli Mahadev, There were no such boundaries by the side of the gate and It made me wonder that why was this gate made as only the gate was standing high between the meadows. I tried to ask few of the locals and the answer which they gave was that even they have seen this gate as it used to be, though few of the renovations have been made to the gate but it stayed where it used to be.
After entering through the gate and walking form near about 100m the view looked something like this...
The ancient Holy Lord Shiva Temple Bijli Mahadev was seen in front of us and the view which this place had was so positive and peaceful.
As we went closer we reached at few shops of the locals who used to live nearby the Kullu town and used to sell various products like tea and coffee and other local dishes and even in-scene sticks.

All there shops were just looking so amazing in this wonderful place!
Just imagine hiking for more that and hour or two and reaching this magical place with few of the best views of the whole valley with the fresh air and peaceful environment it’s it less than a wonderland.
and guys we were finally here to get blessed from lord shiva as Bijli Mahadev Temple was an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and it had a very interesting story related to killing of a devil and protection of the valley form the devil... I was not sure about the true story but the story was quite interesting... as I heard form the locals...
*By the side of the Temple there is a huge tishul which is considered as Holy. *
The view form the back side of temple was extremely scenic and heavenly... Just look at the Bhuntar airport how tiny was it looking form this place...
POV of the exact frame how my brother and cousin were enjoying the momet.
Just look at this heavenly aerial view of the Kullu Valley. The view like this made my entire visit a memorable one.
We enjoyed our afternoon wondering the different sides of the meadows and watching the magical views of the Valley form different sides.
So guys here are few of the photos that I've captured form Bijli Mahadev.
