Ever since I spent a year aboard a warship I have been fascinated by the sensation of sailing in the open sea, the smell of salt, the immensity of the sea that on clear days allows us to appreciate the curvature of the Earth (whatever flat earthers say ) and, above all, the skies full of stars at night without any light pollution.
Desde que pasé un año embarcado en un navío de guerra me quedé fascinado por la sensación de navegar en mar abierto, el olor a sal, la inmensidad del mar que en días claros permite apreciar la curvatura de la Tierra (digan lo que digan los terraplanistas) y, sobre todo, los cielos cuajados de estrellas en las noches sin ningún tipo de contaminación lumínica.
The only thing that is not recommended in this case is the fact of being in the army, but we always have the solution of hiring a pleasure cruise, even for one or two weeks, unless we have money to hire a cabin in this new project of floating city of the company Storylines called MV Narrative.

It is a huge ship of 229 meters in length and 547 "residence-cabins" on board, some of them up to 133 m2 that include bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and a huge balcony with views that would have nothing to envy to the villas on the beachfront but that will move around the world.

MV Narrative is not just a luxury ship, the intention is to create a small floating city with its own inhabitants and all the typical services of a city: a post office, a school, a library, a hospital, a bank, offices, restaurants and bars that will allow its citizens to navigate around the world with total independence.

Instead of the usual fuel, the MV Narrative will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), which today is the most environmentally friendly option and which makes this the first large ship of its kind to use gas, it will also carry the technology for treating waste and converting it into energy and a hydroponic garden for offshore crops.

I can imagine how impressive the first few days aboard a warship can be, but I can also imagine how confusing the next 12 months aboard can be, well it must still be an amazing experience.
The best thing is that you can go around the world without having to pack.
