Despite all the advances made in the last fifty years, nuclear energy continues to be the evil brother of the forms of obtaining energy, although according to the established canons nuclear could be considered a clean energy, the bombs of the second war and the few but terrifying accidents continue to affect our consciences.

Furthermore, there is not only the problem of safety that is improving year after year, we must also take into account the waste left by this energy production system, this nuclear waste remains radioactive for hundreds or thousands of years, during which they must be managed properly to prevent them from contaminating the environment.

But now the private nuclear fission company Transmutex has developed a revolutionary system that could reduce nuclear waste by 80% and reduce its radioactivity period to less than 500 years and could also be applied to 99% of existing nuclear waste that already exists hidden underground.

As you all know, the number of protons that make up an atom defines its characteristics to the point that potassium (K) and Argon (Ar) only differ in one proton in the nucleus and potassium is solid and argon is a gas. Taking this into account, the Transmutex company intends to transmute some elements to convert them into their isotopes or even into completely different elements.

For this transmutation Transmutex proposes using a particle accelerator, probably because the promoter of the idea is a former engineer at CERN, the particle accelerator located in Switzerland in which experiments have already been carried out that demonstrate that the transmutation of elements It is something feasible.

This seems crazy at first considering the money involved in building one of these accelerators, but the problem of waste is important if only for the safe management of existing waste and the energy bulimia of this civilization may be reason enough to consider something of such magnitude.

Hello dear friend it's always a pleasure to see your blogs I really learn a lot from them. Reducing nuclear waste radioactivity by 80% is a very huge leap. It’s amazing how technology can turn such a massive problem into a more manageable one. Hopefully, this helps change views on nuclear energy.

If this works, it could drastically change how we deal with nuclear energy and its long-term impacts. Thank for always sharing such important blogs dear friend

It's a great innovation that will make nuclear power more acceptable to the world in my opinion. What most people don't understand us that the military is responsible for producing the really nasty waste products that are dangerous. Mitigating these dangers and radioactivity length is a great idea!
