Throughout the 19th century and part of the 20th century, diving was carried out using suits equipped with a helmet, which had a hose attached through which air was insufflated by means of a pump from the outside, with this suit and very heavy boots divers they wandered on the sea floor or the bottom of rivers and lakes.

This system, although with some improvements, has continued to be used to this day, but now it seems that the company "SeeAir" has designed a new system in which the use of cylinders is not necessary, an ingenious and apparently simple device, with which we could dive up to 12 meters deep for 5 hours straight.
Este sistema, aunque con algunas mejoras, ha continuado utilizándose hasta nuestros días pero ahora parece que la empresa "SeeAir" ha diseñado un nuevo sistema en el que no es necesario el uso de bombonas, un dispositivo ingenioso y aparentemente sencillo, con el que se podría bucear hasta 12 metros de profundidad durante 5 horas seguidas.
The system consists of a buoy that takes fresh air from the surface, filters and purifies it, taking it through a cable to the mouth of the diver. The cable measures twelve meters and that is the depth limit that can be reached, but in horizontal we can advance as much as we want because the buoy on the surface will follow us.
El sistema consta de una boya que coge aire fresco de la superficie, lo filtra y lo purifica llevándolo a través de un cable hasta la boca del buzo, el cable mide doce metros y ese es el límite de profundidad que se puede alcanzar, pero en horizontal podemos avanzar todo los que queramos pues la boya de la superficie nos irá siguiendo.
