I want a word or two with you. The last time we talked, we were intoxicated and didn't really try talking. I was there, you were there, and there was noise everywhere but silence between us. The sky was speckled and the beer was warm. We shared words with other people but I believe you understood. They were meant for you. I understood.

The last time I saw you, you saw me first. My heart went zero to sixty in barely two seconds. Like the wide sure feeling of being aware of the cosmos, I understood. I understand you; with a thousand words or none at all.
