Splinterlands is famous on its five elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, and Death. But aside from these elements, there are one element that is available on whatever Summoner that the player will choose: the NEUTRAL UNIT. Neutral Unit is the only unit flexible on any Summoners. It can be use against anyone in the game.

Since we are talking about Neutral Unit, today, we are going to feature one of the Neutral Monsters: the MAGI OF CHAOS. This monster is the featured monster for the battle challenge of Splinterlands and that is the reason why I decided to feature this monster, so that I can help players formulate their winning battle with this monster. So, without further ado, lets start the feature !

THE POWER OF MAGI OF CHAOS

MAGI OF CHAOS is an Epic Neutral Monster with no ability at Level 1. This monster has 2 magic attacks, 2 speed, and 5 lives. By looking at the starting stats of this monster, we can say that it is on average level monster. The 2 magic attack is great because it is a direct damage. It is great if there the tank of the opponent do not have Void ability. Once your opponent has, then this monster could be one of the weakest in the field. In terms of speed, we cannot say that it has strong chance of evading attacks. The 2 speed only means that it can only avoid the attacks of monsters with 1 speed and the chance is only 10%, which is pretty low. In terms of the life of this monster, the 5 lives is great and can surely survive at least the second round. Just remember that do not position this monster on the tank position because it does not have enough offense ability to resist attacks.

WAYS TO STRENGTHEN THE MONSTER

There are two ways to strengthen this monster, it could be by levelling it up or finding the right partner for this monster. First, lets talk about levelling up this monster.

At LEVEL 5, this monster gains an ability called Oppress. Monsters with this kind of ability does double damage on attacking monsters that has no attacks. At this level, this monster has 3 magic attacks, 2 speed, and 7 lives. At this level, this monster gains an elevation of the power it needs. Combination of 32 cards must be done to achieve this level. The estimated power for this monster at this level is 3,200.

Aside from this, you can also level up the overall power of this monster by finding the perfect companion for it. I know that most of the new players does not have enough money to buy new cards, so with that, the starter cards that you may use to partner up with this monster is the OBSIDIAN for the summoners and MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN and TRUTHSPEAKER for monsters.

OBSIDIAN. This summoner is the perfect summoner for Magi of Chaos because it can increase its magic attack. Magic attacks are direct attacks and only Void ability can resist it. Even though your opponent has Void ability, still you can create now 2 damage. With that, Void ability will not be a problem.
MYCELIC SPLIPSPAWN. This summoner does not really elevate the power of Magi of Chaos, but it gives the Magi of Chaos a gift of staying longer in the battlefield. Mycelic Slipspawn can attract all the attacks so that other friendly monsters will not be a target.
TRUTHSPEAKER. This monster cannot help on increasing damage ability of Magi of Chaos, instead, it gives that card a stronger defensive state. Truthspeaker can give two shields to all friendly monsters in the field.
