By its definition taken from merriam-webster.com it is as follows:
— at peace
:in a state of concord or tranquillity
The problem was settled and his mind was at peace.
My own definition speaks to a moment in which I felt it within myself.
Every now and then we speak to people that just doesn’t seem to get what you are trying to convey, and you are left unheard in a crowd of people that just could not understand the magnitude of emotion that you tried to express. As time passes by and your attempts at expressing yourself failed one after the other, and a weird chaos bubbles within you.
and then, as luck would have it, one day you’ll meet someone for a moment that just got it. That just understood what you meant without having to explain yourself, no conflict, no need elaborate further. You exhale, not knowing you have kept your breath. You smile. You are heard. You are at peace.
On Steemit I have found this, and I also think that many Steemians go through this feeling of being lost or unheard in their posts and that is natural I suppose. All those posts, taking the time out to think about what is original and worthwhile to others and to express it, you throw your line out to the chaotic ocean and every now and then you’ll get your up vote and follow.
I haven’t by any means become a master at this. My posts don’t carry high up votes and aren’t worth all that much, but I am being heard in some sense and that is enough.
I am at peace, I do believe the journey on Steemit is different for everyone, but it is not what divides us, it is what brings us together. You have a voice you are seen, and in time someone will hear you and you will have your peace.
