I’ve not been around on here much of late because life has been a bit rubbish for most of the year so far. I felt like I had nothing much better to say, no real value and felt rather disillusioned with everything.
Anyway, I’ve most excellent news, for that period of time has come to pass.
I’ve been to a number of interviews recently, some didn’t work out but that was ok, because each one gave me experience on interview process again. A lot had changed since I was last job seeking, the number of stages, the role itself has changed hugely.
Then in the past couple of weeks two job prospects reached the final interview stage, things were becoming really good.
One of those companies is a business called iRock School of Music….
They offered me the job! I accepted.
Am I going to be a teacher? No, I’m not, the job is for a full-stack Developer and a new tech team is coming together to work on the apps and tools for the teachers.
I am returning to Hive! I have stories to tell again and my health has mended too. Turning a corner and getting back on my happy path.
I’ve completely missed Alicante of course and hope you all had a great time, I would have been there but I needed to get this sorted and now have.
My start date is likely to be the Monday after next.
Since I like to include photos in my posts, here are a few I’ve taken recently whilst I’ve been out of work, which to be fair has only been a matter of weeks!
This means, I can get back on track with my usual projects, churches, sound library and arranging an Oxford meetup for the summer.

Huge congrats on landing the new job, it sounds exciting although when you said you wouldn't be a teacher at the place the Jack Black School Of Rock came to mind lol.
