NEONATAL SEPSIS: This is imflammation of the brain and Spinal cord membrane typically caused by bacterial infection e.g. MININGITIS.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS SRE:
- Fever
- Headache
- Stiffness of neck
- Vomiting
- Confusion
- Pale skin
- Cold hands and feet
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
*The best way of preventing miningitis is to be Vaccinted
- Careful hand washing
- Practice good personal hygiene; Don't share drinks, food, straws, eating utensils and toothbrush.
MANAGEMENT:Early diagnosis and treatment will prevent brain damage and death.
