It’s incredible how you can conceal all the hurtful lies
You are strong and you got that far
Or maybe it is just you that thinks you are
You love the silence better than searching for company
You love yourself best when you’re on solitary
You think you’re right but maybe wrong
Or you just know you got nowhere to belong
You got used to being alone
And you stood still being one permanent tone
Maybe it made you this human
Or you had convinced yourself that you are and you can
It doomed you to stay in a moment
Because you knew too much of your temperament
You believed in all things just passing
That all beautiful things are meant for leaving
Have you gone this cold?
Or were you just thinking you’re growing old?
To think that you can lean on no one
That you are meant to travel the world with the absence of someone
Maybe you grew afraid
To have lost some things you had loved and cared
Or you were too clouded with all the misery
That leaving might let you realize how love got too momentary
You became that one lonely island
You got nothing, got no one to lend a hand
You grew so tired and lonely
You grew desolate that you knew you never needed anybody
