My Child
You are pregnant.
And while you carry your baby,
I adopted mine.
Your baby may have hair on their head,
But mine has fur all over her body.
As your baby crawls,
Mine begins to walk on all four.
You hear crying all night,
I get squeaks in the morning.
While you change diapers,
I scoop poop.
Your baby falls asleep on your chest,
My baby falls asleep in my lap.
The love you have for your child
Is the same love I have for mine.
