Layer upon layer of hidden emotion, scripted
in ways to tell,
and ask,
and dwell
Whilst guarding truth in its verbal shell.
Hide & seek the favourite game,
seeking blind
hiding lame.
No idea who's to blame
We love the wild, despise the tame.
We're blind, my dear
but we're doing our best!
And if all we've ever done is messed,
And piled confusion on our chest,
And played the fool at love's behest,
At least we can say
we
