Autumn Rain

Whispered willows weathered pain
Frigid frosted chilling rain
Pitter patter window pane
Upon an autumn kept.

Dusty, dreary darkened air
Spitter, spatter, streetlights glare
Tires sped, engines tear
The haze upon that crept.

Tearful tethers tender light
Luring, leading burning bright
Bearing bosons into sight
As the night winds wept.

Secrets, stories will not tell
Weary weathered soulful hell
The painful rain in webbed the spell
All while the day has slept.
