Peaks in the distance, blanketed in mist.
A transparent lover that won't long exist.
As the sun comes up it fades out of sight,
Just like the lover dissapearing in the night.
A giant of frost, dwarfing the trees below.
It's head and shoulders, lost, under the snow.
the land before it struggles, fighting for life.
spring and the mountain toil in strife.
the lake at its feet, reflects a vision so vast
I beg of my memory to make it last,
but should my memory fail, this image fade.
it's beauty will prevail, in this poem I've made.
