Stream
It flows gently by
O'er the stones that gently lie
A stream of waters pure
A haiku inspired by nature. I don't know if others feel this way, but I think there's something fascinating about watching water flow.
I read somewhere that it can have a calming effect on your mind, and grant you a dose of inspiration.
I believe this to be true, as I wrote my first haiku while it was raining. After a few minutes watching the water run by; the haiku that started this journey was penned.

I am fascinated by the waterfalls... especially in the winter... when the falling waters freeze up.

There's no winter where I'm from so I don't know much about freezing water. Except when it's from the fridge.
