Moving in desolate arms
Grasping blurring spirits
Cutting to the sounds
Of the apparitions in their minds.
Pursuing on wet sand midnight
No glass shoes and things aren't as splendid
Shadows moving over the water
Voices and murmurs far out
Booming out of their consecrated personalities.
Penetrated face and inked skin
Strolling with the finesse of unfulfilled dreams
Flushed cheeks and hurried kisses
Considerations and stresses tossed under the sea
Awakening under the black sky
In the arms of a darling
Whose last name they don't recollect
Whose face they'll have overlooked by the following summer.
Making an insincere effort
Streaming with the seas
Crying with the breeze
Shouting close by it
With a mind that is faltering.
Moving in the downpour
Running on wet sand
Strolling with the elegance
Of the pivotal kind.
